Requirements Engineering (RE) - this is the first step in system development, which significantly impacts the project's success. RE describes the scope of a project, creates an everyday basis for communication for all those involved, and directly influences the project costs.
And: the better the requirements engineering is, the fewer errors there are during development; the overall cost is lower. So there are numerous reasons to pursue certification in this discipline.
This is precisely why the IREB® was created. IREB®, the International Requirements Engineering Board, is a non-profit organization providing CPRE certification (Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering).
The IREB® was founded in 2006, a world-renowned expert committee for the individual certification of specialists in the field of requirements engineering. Since the organization was founded, over 54,500 professionals from 85 countries have completed the CPRE Foundation Level exam.
Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering is a three-level certification concept divided into the Foundation, Advanced and Expert levels. It is suitable for people who work in requirements engineering, business analysis, and testing and who place maximum demands on the quality of work.

The curriculum of IREB® CPRE-FL consists of the following seven strongly interconnected parts.
After the IREB training, you have in-depth knowledge of requirements engineering and know its role in the overall context of a project. You can collect, analyze, consolidate, document, check and manage requirements. You know the essential methods of these activities and which criteria you use to select the appropriate one.
The exam for CPRE-FL certification includes a written exam (multiple choice exam). This exam takes place after the training and is carried out by an international accreditation body. You can take the exam online or on-site.
If the exam is successful, the certificate will be sent to you directly by the certification body. The exam can also be taken on a date of your choice.
For more certification information, please visit the IREB website.
These numbers illustrate that the CPRE certificate can be considered the leading certificate in requirements engineering.
